ShutUpDeadEntities
A client-side mod that smoothly fades out mob sounds when mobs die, preventing lingering or abrupt audio.
This mod improves Minecraft’s audio behavior by dynamically stopping or fading out sounds from entities that are no longer around — inspired by how the Breeze handles its wind sounds.
Key Features
-
Sound fading for all mobs
When any mob dies or disappears, their ongoing sounds (like hissing, growling, or ambient noises) now smoothly fade out. This removes lingering or jarring audio when the source is gone.
-
Creeper & Enderman fixes
Originally targeted at the Creeper’s primed hiss and the Enderman’s angry stare sound, which often continued after the mob was dead. These fixes are now applied universally.
-
Nether portal polish
If you enter a Nether portal and leave before teleporting, the portal’s charging sound now fades out instead of continuing abruptly.
Compatibility
- Client-side only
Works in both singleplayer and multiplayer, as long as the client has the mod installed.
